Letter from the SOSORT 2023 Organising Committee

G’day!

The SOSORT2023 organising committee invites you to Melbourne, Australia to attend  an extra special SOSORT congress. Not only is it the first time that SOSORT will be held in Australia, it will also be the first time SOSORT is part of the SpineWeek congress. Spine Week brings together over 24 of the world’s top spine-related societies to share their knowledge and research with each other under the one roof. It is an exciting opportunity for researchers to showcase their work to other world leaders and at the same time for delegates to be exposed to research from the world leading societies.

Spine Week also gives an opportunity for less formal social networking between the societies and their members. SOSORT and SpineWeek have also organised cultural, gastronomical and entertaining aspects of Melbourne.

Melbourne is Australia’s second largest city and is considered by many to be the cultural capital of Australia. From Melbourne you can easily access some of Australia’s natural beauties including the wine region of the Mornington Peninsula and the Yarra Valley and the spectacular scenic drive along the Great Ocean Road. SOSORT has a unique dinner planned at the world-renowned Melbourne Zoo where you will meet some of Australia’s most unique world-life.

Melbourne is only a one hour flight from Sydney where you can visit the iconic Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour. For those that want to make this trip into an adventure it is an easy flight to the north of Australia to visit the Great Barrier Reef, which is one of the seven wonders of the world.
